I Used To Be Bigger - One Fat Man's Journey To Better Health

About

Jason

Hi, I’m Jason. For most of my adult life I’ve been big—fat, if we’re being honest, and on this site we are. I knew it wasn’t good for me, and like a lot of people I kept promising I’d deal with it “next Monday.”

The wake-up call

At 49, the years of ignoring my health caught up with me all at once. An enlarged heart, diabetes, and sleep apnea put me in the hospital. I’m lucky to be here to tell the story, and I don’t intend to waste the second chance.

What this site is

I Used To Be Bigger is my honest log of the whole thing: the meals, the workouts, the mental battles, the tech that keeps me organized, and the wins and flops along the way. No magic pills, no scams, no shortcuts—just what’s actually working and what isn’t.

I’m not an expert. I’m a guy with a spreadsheet, a sense of humor, and a stubborn streak. If you’ve spent your life hitting the “reset” button every Monday, pull up a chair—you’re in the right place.
